A new state of the art agricultural complex complete with year round pavilions and community event facilities. We are looking forward to going back to our roots and concentrating on agricultural events including National Horse Shows, Livestock Shows, 4-H programs, community and charitable events. One of the other programming features we will focus on is providing a facility for agricultural educational programs working with schools and youth groups.

We would like to thank the people of Barrie and surrounding areas for supporting the Society over the years and we sincerely hope you will join us at our new location in 2012.

The Barrie Agricultural Society was established in 1853 and has been hosting the Fair for the past 155 years. The Fair was originally located on the corner of Dunlop and Innisfil Street and moved to the Essa Road location in 1949. We are currently exploring 100 acres located in Essa Township on the NE corner of 10th Conc. And 20th S.R.

The objectives over the years of the Society have been to encourage an awareness of Agriculture through education and competitions as well as promote quality of life in our urban and rural communities.
